SEISMIC-RESISTANT TRANSFORMER
Seismic-Resistant Transformer
A transformer equipped with patented friction damper technology optimized specifically for transformer applications, delivering industry-leading seismic performance and stable operation even during earthquakes of up to magnitude 8.6.
Core Technology
Because transformers are floor-mounted, they are structurally vulnerable to shaking and displacement during earthquakes. Excessive displacement can occur particularly in the short-axis (Y-axis) direction, requiring seismic vibration-control devices.
Through an R&D project led by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT), Enertech developed and applied rotary friction-damper seismic control technology tailored to the structural characteristics and dynamic behavior of transformers, significantly enhancing seismic performance.

- Custom structural design optimized for transformer structure load ranges of 0.5–20 tons
- Stable seismic design reflecting transformer dynamic characteristics and behavior, including natural period, response acceleration, and response displacement
- Optimized friction-damper technology that enables easy installation, reduces installation space and time, and improves economic efficiency
